Easter Trentham Farmer’s Market

by Richard Hayes

Whilst many are currently harvesting their crops, we’re harvesting a myriad of new initiatives.  Just one of these exciting additions is rewarding you every time you shop with us.  Designed for those with a true passion for fresh, fragrant seasonal flowers and herbs.

The first of its’ kind, to be launched at the Trentham Farmers Market on Saturday March 20th is a Blumin Loyalty card exclusive to the Farmers Market.

The farmers market, now in its 8th month, has become a regular and popular stop for both locals and  visitors to the region.  We want to thank those who continue to support us at the market and show our appreciation for your custom by rewarding you.   So whether you are a regular purchaser of our cuisine based herb bouquets, tussie mussies or seasonal bouquets any and all count towards your 10th complimentary farmers market bouquet.  We look forward to seeing you there.

AND for those who can’t make it to the market and are valued customers whether on or offline we have introduced a loyalty card just for you which we will be sending out soon.

For new customers please contact Sandy or Simone re how to apply to become part of our Blumin Loyalty scheme.

Blumin Perfect Flowers for Christmas

by Richard Hayes
Christmas Wreath

Merry Christmas from the Blumin Team

Christmas Flowers & Gift Collection
Inspiration for the Blumin 2009 Christmas collection is drawn from the teams’ family roots which cover both Southern & Northern Hemisphere Christmas traditions, combined with links with the Spa Country and Macedon ranges region. The desire to incorporate the natural scents of Christmas including pine, conifer, eucalyptus, cinnamon and rosemary sees our 2009 collection of wreaths, centerpieces, garlands and flower arrangements containing a mix of both hemispheres traditions’, all hand‐picked, from our gardens.

There is something for everyone, whether you are looking for a culinary Christmas herb bouquet for a budding master‐chef; fresh Christmas wreaths and garlands resplendent with nuts, cones, cinnamon & even chillies; centerpieces for your festive table; and for a unique and luxurious gift ‐ a Christmas arrangement combining festive flowers, herbs and foliage. Of course we also have our natural bath bomb fizzers which can be combined with herb bouquets providing a relaxing and indulgent bath experience or a hand‐made customized message board from Mingary Pictures & Words.  The choices allow you to create a most personal gift from a diverse gift range.

Last orders will be taken on December 22 to ensure Christmas delivery. Prices start from $19.50 (excluding delivery). Please contact Sandy on 0405 032 566 for all your Christmas flower and gift requirements. We are more than happy to customize any of our collection just for you.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Blumin has launched…

by Richard Hayes

Blumin’s launch coincided with the inaugural Trentham Farmers Market on Saturday 15th August 2009.  Our umbrella stood proudly next to the many stallholder marquees.  The gods looked down upon us all and turn on an unusually warm, sunny  and perfect winters day.   It was overwhelming success both for Blumin and the Market.  There was even a traffic jam in High Street, Trentham!

The “Blumin” posies marched off the stand and into the loving hands of many market goers both local and from afar.  Thank you to everyone who provided fantastic feedback and support.  Whilst a lot of hard work by all the Blumin team ensured a successful start, it was indeed just that, “a start”.  We have much more work to rollout the mini herb bouquets in selected cuisines and provide small stories on the language of “Tussie Mussies”.

Our faithful Twitter followers popped in to see us and partake in the festivities of the market.   Here’s to an equally successful second market and flower stand for Blumin. We look forward to seeing you at the next market day on Saturday 19 September 2009.  So come and see us and have some “Blumin” fun!

The Buds of May

by Richard Hayes

A chilly trentham day is no deterrant to see what is out and about in the garden for flower arranging.  Went to Dennis Norgates so gauge what is available in May – lots of hellebores , wonderful hellebores.  See how glorious they are with the buds of ivy.
